Changes To The FASTPass+ System Have Arrived On My Disney Experience

Changes were said to be coming to the FASTPass+ reservation system on My Disney Experience, and they’ve already arrived.

When you log into the FASTPass+ section of My Disney Experience, you will notice that things look entirely different. The entire pages have changed and as expected, it’s now happened as of Apr. 10, 2016.

You will still select the members of your party and then the date and park you wish to go to. After that, it looks even more different.

As you can see, there are now options to select what time of day you would like to see times for – Morning, Afternoon, and Evening. There is also a drop-down “Select a Time” option which gives you half-hour intervals.

Once you select one attraction and time, you will move through to confirm your selection. After that, the site will ask you if you wish to continue on and make another FASTPass+ selection for that day or move to a different day.

Yes, one of the big changes is that you can now make one, two, or three initial selections. You’re no longer forced to make three.

Another big change is that Guests will no longer have to rely on the in-park kiosks. That’s right, Guests will now be able to obtain additional FASTPass+ selections via the My Disney Experience app on their phones.

Obviously, haven’t tried that change yet as the parks aren’t currently open as it is right after midnight.

Cancelling things is made easier too as you can cancel one or two FASTpass+ reservations and then make one or two new ones in their places.

Also, there is still no making different park selections. You can’t make one FASTPass+ selection at Magic Kingdom and two at Epcot for your initial selections.

These changes rolled out on the website around 11:45 p.m. ET on April 9. Some are still saying that it hasn’t changed for them and the app hasn’t changed either. It’s likely the roll-out will keep moving into tomorrow.

UPDATE: If you have an iOs device, look in the iTunes store and there should be an update for the My Disney Experience app. Just ran it and the app was changed to the new system.

Make sure to get in touch with My Mickey Vacation so they can give you even more details and take all the stress out of planning to create the magic for you. Trust me, let them take this pressure off your shoulders so you don’t have to deal with all the changes.

They will make sure to connect all the dots and get everything in order for your next Walt Disney World or any Disney Destination vacation while saving you time, stress, and money.

  1. Can your 4th FP be made at a different park than your first 3? Thanks!

  2. This update was supposed to bring much needed changes to the Dining Reservations system in the app as well. It was to allow for changes to time/date/party size etc. However, when I click modify on any of my existing reservations for May it states “Your reservation has already started. You aren’t able to modify it online or in the app.” I hope they work out the bugs. Their dining reservation system sorely needs an upgrade to allow modifications to existing reservations. Love the FastPass+ upgrades. Those were desperately needed as well. It seems like they release a half-baked version of features and then take an impossibly long amount of time to realize the shortcomings or address obvious failings.
