Digital FASTPass System Reportedly Coming To Disneyland Resort This November

The digital FASTPass+ system has been in place at Walt Disney World for years now, and it has even gone through a couple of changes and updates. Well, after some sporadic testing over the last year, it finally appears as if the Disneyland Resort will be rolling it out as well.

According to a report from WDWNT, the system will begin in November of this year and it is going to start with Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney California Adventure. The set date for the digital FASTPass to begin in California will be Nov. 20, 2016.

As of now, it is not looking as the digital FASTPass system will roll out in full right away, and that is not surprising. Over the past year, there have been tests and delays, tests and delays…with a couple of attractions including Space Mountain.

Changes are going to be made to the queue line for Toy Story Midway Mania and those include new signage, directions, and such for the digital FASTPass system. Other attractions around the Disneyland Resort will likely follow suit as the system gets underway and working properly.

For now, it isn’t known if the digital FASTPass system in California will work like FASTPass+ in Florida, but it is expected to be coordinated with barcodes on park tickets and will only be made on the Disneyland app to start.

It appears as if the last of the paper FASTPasses are about to see their complete and total end.
