A few months ago, we reported that a new style of MagicBand was being designed and tested, but we didn’t know when it would be coming. Well, that new style was revealed last night at the D23 Destination D event and it means the puck is on its way.
Not only were the new styles of MagicBand introduced, but all registered members attending the event were given the MagicBand 2 as a gift.
The Twitter account of Parks n Stuff had pictures of the new MagicBand-style which do have the removable pucks as reported months ago. The pucks will be able to be removed and placed into different carriers such as keychains and lanyards.
There has been no word on when these new MagicBands will end up being released to the general public for use at Walt Disney World. It’s obvious that Disney is listening to Guests who don’t necessarily want to wear a bracelet on their wrist.
