On Wednesday, the first poster for the live-action remake of Disney’s Aladdin was released along with the reactions of all the cast members. More was promised on Thursday and during the Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants’ game, the first trailer was unveiled.
It’s going to be interesting to see how the live-action version stacks up to the original. Many fans are also curious to see if Will Smith can take on the role of Genie and do it justice after the brilliance brought to it by Robin Williams.
Directed by Guy Ritchie, the live-action remake of Aladdin stars Mena Massoud in the title role, Naomi Scott as Jasmine, and Will Smith as Genie. Marwan Kenzari will be Jafar, Navid Negahbanas as the Sultan, and many others will join them.

Alan Menken will be joined by La La Land songwriters Justin Paul and Benj Pasek to add some new songs to the film, but a number of those from the original animated version of Aladdin will be included.
Aladdin is set to hit theaters on May 24, 2019.
