Automated PhotoPass Cameras Coming To Meet-And-Greet Locations At Walt Disney World

Changes are coming to the PhotoPass system at Walt Disney World, and that is especially true for character meet-and-greet locations. Soon, guests will no longer see photographers as automated cameras will be used to capture your lasting memories.

Upon entering the indoor locations with characters, there will be an automated camera positioned to take your family’s picture. After the interaction and visits are over, guests will then go to a small kiosk in the room to scan their MagicBands or tickets so the pictures will link to their My Disney Experience account.

At this time, the automated cameras are being tested in the Town Square Theater, but they will be rolled out to other locations beginning later in November.

Make sure to get in touch with My Mickey Vacation Travel so they can give you even more details and take all the stress out of planning to create the magic for you.

They will make sure to connect all the dots and get everything in order for your next Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or any Disney Destination vacation while saving you time, stress, and money.

  1. Cheryl Ringen says

Not a good idea. A good photographer makes good pictures and interaction.

  2. Sorry, but I did not purchase the memory maker to have an automated picture taken. I am going the end of November and beginning of December and feel as if I have just gotten ripped off by Disney. You absolutely will not get the same quality of pictures from an automated kiosk. If this is what happens I will be wanting a refund Disney.

  3. A fixed position camera instead of a photographer who knows how to get good angles and understands lighting, composition, etc. Not impressed to be honest, this isn’t a ride where you are in a stationary seat, it is an interactive experience where you move around and “dialogue” with the characters. I hope they have some trick up their sleeve to really make it work.

  4. So all the personality will be drained from the experience. Bummer. No one is going to catch the initial reactions of the little ones.
