New Images Of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Attraction Ride Vehicles Give Great Looks

We now know that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will not just be opening in Disneyland in the summer of 2019, but Bob Iger has confirmed it will be in June. An exact date other than “fall 2019” isn’t yet known for Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ version, but we do now have a better look at some of the ride vehicles.

On Friday, January 4, 2019, Iger was speaking on a number of Disney topics and casually revealed the opening month for Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland.

“When Star Wars opens in Anaheim in June and in Florida later in the year, that’s adding capacity,” said Bob Iger. “You’re adding 14 acres of land (each), more rides and more for people to do. It’s the biggest land we’ve ever built.”

It appears as if guests are getting info only a little bit at a time when it comes to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but the Internet helps out too. Twitter user @SWGalaxysEdge posted some images which have now made their way out and give closer looks at the ride vehicles.

Above, you can see Cast Members posing in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon for the Smuggler’s Run attraction. These ride vehicles will actually make it seem as if you’re the ones piloting the famous ship.

Photo number two features a ride vehicle from Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance which shows an R2 unit as an apparent guide.

The third photo…well, if you’re a Star Wars fan, you recognize this location.
