My Disney Experience is the app that guests use when visiting Walt Disney World and it is to help make things automated and easier. Well, Disney is also testing the use of smart speakers in resort rooms to help make things even simpler and more convenient for guests.
A pilot program has started at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts to test smart speakers in the rooms of guests.
The speakers will be used by guests to access information such as park hours, wait times, bus arrival times, and more. Guests will also be able to ask about the weather and even listen to music if they so desire.
These smart speakers are only part of Disney’s overall change to make things easier for guests through the use of technology. Of course, there is the My Disney Experience app, but it brings forth mobile ordering, the ability to unlock your resort room door, and more.
As of now, it is a random selection for which guests will take part in the test with the smart speakers, and so far, it is only at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts.
