In early March, the permits were filed for the work that is being done at Epcot which will see the removal of the Leave A Legacy monuments. Beginning this weekend, that work is going to get underway to present a brand new/old look to the park’s entrance.
This will be just the first phase of the work done on the removal of the Leave A Legacy monuments. The work will be done in phases and it will start with the west side before moving to the east for their removal.
Disney is going to have a brand new setting for the pictures set just outside of Epcot’s entrance gateway which is going to open sometime in 2020.
Epcot’s newly imagined park entrance will have New pathways, sweeping green spaces and a newly reimagined fountain will all be part of the new look. Again the photos from Leave A Legacy will remain and be put in a new location, but the monuments will be gone.
