Onward landed on Disney Plus not long after its theatrical release, but the coronavirus pandemic has caused many other films to have their release dates moved. The newly updated theatrical schedule from Disney has been released and pushes many movies into the next year.
Some fans have hoped that Disney Plus would get more of these films directly released on the streaming service, but that isn’t meant to be. Here are the new release dates for films going into 2022:
- Mulan – July 24, 2020
- Black Widow – November 6, 2020
- The Eternals – February 12, 2021
- Jungle Cruise – July 30, 2021
- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – November 5, 2021
- Thor: Love and Thunder – February 18, 2022
Black Panther 2 is still going to release on May 6, 2022. Captain Marvel 2 has been given a theatrical release date of July 8, 2022.
For those stuck at home, you may be able to watch Artemis Fowl soon. The film formerly scheduled for a theatrical release has been moved to debuting on Disney Plus with a release date to be determined.
