It is one of those announcements that Disney fans always wait for as they know it is coming eventually and here it is. The 2020 dates for Splash Mountain’s annual refurbishment at Magic Kingdom have now been set in place.
Splash Mountain is set to close for refurbishment beginning on January 6, and it is set to continue through February 27, 2020. As of this time, Splash Mountain is tentatively scheduled to reopen to guests on February 28, 2020.
No major changes are expected as this is usually just the tune-up of the attraction overall.
Please note that dates are subject to change and can without any notice. These dates are officially listed on Walt Disney World’s refurbishment schedule, but that does not mean they can’t possibly change.
