Everyone knows how Main Street U.S.A. can turn into a bit of a bottleneck at the end of the night and especially during the holidays. Well, Disney is going to soon be changing that at the Magic Kingdom.
There is going to be a new bypass behind Main Street U.S.A. that will be permanent and allow guests to enter or exit the park without having to deal with the full crowds.
When crowds get to be too much, the backstage area on the Main Street Bakery side of the street is opened for guests to be shuttled through. That area is not themed though and not very Disney.
It is not confirmed at this time whether the bypass will be open throughout park hours or simply when it is needed for overly crowded times.
Construction is expected to begin immediately. Hopes are that the new bypass can be completed by the time the holidays roll around this year, but that is not confirmed.
