While it may have been small and ended up being a whole lot of nothing; it still was kind of eerie to see the pictures of it. On Sunday, June 22, 2014, a small fire did end up breaking out in the backstage area of Disneyland, but it was quickly taken care of.
Guests reported seeing smoke on Sunday afternoon and started posting about it all over Twitter and other social media.
Things got even more crazy once the black smoke got a bit thicker and started billowing out over Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland.
The Anaheim Fire Department stated that some outdoor trash in the backstage area somehow ended up catching on fire. There is no word on how the fire started as of yet, but it was in an area that is closed off from Disneyland guests.
Firefighters were able to put out the flames in about five minutes.
There were no reports of any injuries or damage at Disneyland.
