Christmas has officially arrived at Walt Disney World and the Magic Kingdom is truly beginning to look like a winter wonderland. The Christmas decorations began going up a little bit on the day after Halloween, but as of November 4, there are plenty up on Main Street and even branching out to the different lands in the park.
Now, many will notice some changes to a few of the Main Street decorations are different for this Christmas season. The garland that usually stretches across the street is gone and new candle decorations adorn the buildings.
Upon speaking to Imagineers and managers at the Magic Kingdom, this is the way it has to be now for a number of reasons. The floats in the Christmas Parade as well as some in the Festival of Fantasy Parade (most notably, the Maleficent dragon) are too tall to go underneath the garland.

Full Christmas decorations will be up by tomorrow as the “Frozen Holiday Wish” begins on the evening of Nov. 5, 2014, as Anna and Elsa light the castle lights for the first time ever.
