One of the most anticipated movies has finally had a little bit of information come out as the primary setting and some plot details were released for Pixar’s “Finding Dory.” Believe it or not, it won’t take place in the ocean for the majority of the film.
Jim Morris, Pixar President, revealed that the bulk of “Finding Dory” will take Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) on a journey to find her parents and remember more about her past. She will be joined by Marlin and Nemo for this quest that is set to take place primarily in the Marine Biology Institute of California.
Dory learns she was born and raised in the institute, but then released into the ocean as a child.
At the CCXP – Comic Con Experience in Brazil, Morris revealed some concept art and unfinished scenes, but there was more as well.
Morris did say that “Finding Dory” would see a few more old characters return such as Gill and Deb, but more could show up too.
There will also be new characters including sea lions, an octopus, and a beluga whale. It is known that Ty Burrell will voice a beluga whale named Bailey. Eugene Levy is also to voice Dory’s father, Charlie, while Diane Keaton will voice Jenny, Dory’s mother.
“Finding Dory” is scheduled to hit theaters on June 17, 2016.
