Many have been waiting for Disney Cruise Line to officially announce more itineraries for 2016, and on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, it happened. The Summer 2016 itineraries and they are incredibly awesome, and they include the first-ever sailing to the British Isles.
Disney officially announced the news today via the Disney Parks Blog:
Today Disney revealed our 2016 summer sailings, announcing our first-ever British Isles cruise, plus ports of call in more than 15 European countries! In addition to the British Isles, our tour of Europe includes cruises in the Baltic,Norwegian Fjords, Iceland, Greek Isles and the Mediterranean.
Our 12-night British Isles voyage on the Disney Magic departs from Dover, England, visiting destinations inScotland, Ireland, France and England. I can’t possibly highlight all of the cool things you’ll experience on this cruise, but here’s a sampling:
- The majestic beauty, iconic castles and Highland culture of Scotland
- The merry, cosmopolitan city of Dublin, Ireland
- The culturally rich and romantic Paris, France
- The birthplace of the Beatles and the British Invasion in Liverpool, England
- The charming countryside of Guernsey, one of the Channel Islands
Of course Europe isn’t the only awesome locale we’re taking you to in the summer of 2016. We’re also revisiting favorite destinations elsewhere around the globe including Alaska, the Caribbean and the Bahamas. ~ More Summer 2016 Itineraries
During the summer of 2016, Disney Magic will return to favorite destinations in northern Europe, the Greek Isles and the Mediterranean with a variety of seven-night and longer sailings.
From May through August 2016, the Disney Wonder will return to Alaska, sailing from Vancouver, Canada to Tracy Arm, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan.
And, the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will continue to sail from Port Canaveral, Florida to The Bahamas and Caribbean on a variety of itineraries. Most of these cruises include a stop at Disney Castaway Cay, a private island paradise.
