In what can only be seen as incredible and amazing news for Disney fans and especially Haunted Mansion fans, an iconic ghost is returning to the place that holds 999 Happy Haunts.
The Disney Parks Blog revealed hints a few months ago, but they confirmed the news this morning that the Hatbox Ghost would indeed be returning to the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland this May.
After that, they offered up a sneak peek with some concept art of the Hatbox Ghost.
There was not a whole lot of info given about the return of the Hatbox Ghost, but they did say he will be reappearing in May at the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland.
After that, they gave a small bit of info on him:
“The Hatbox Ghost appeared in the Haunted Mansion for a short time around the opening of this classic attraction in 1969. Although brief, his presence sparked a decades-long following, and this reclusive resident of the Haunted Mansion was never forgotten.”
Not thinking he would ever return, there was an edition of “Doctor Disney Explains” in which I’ve detailed “The Tale of the Hatbox Ghost” and you can learn a lot more there.
With news of the Hatbox Ghost’s return and that Ryan Gosling could team with Guillermo del Toro for a reboot of the spooky attraction film…it’s a great week for Haunted Mansion news!
