Guests visiting Walt Disney World or even just flying into the Orlando International Airport (MCO) anytime soon, will have one less magical store to enjoy. The Magic of Disney Store has now closed, but don’t worry, it is going to be back.
The Magic of Disney Store is one of two stores in the airport which sell official Disney merchandise and items. This location is closing as MCO makes way for an expansion of the security checkpoint area for Gates 1-59.
All of this is part of a major expansion and renovation project happening at the Orlando International Airport.
The Magic of Disney Store is not closing permanently, though, and it is set to open in a new location which is exactly opposite where the old one once stood. An exact date is not yet known for its reopening, but it will be sometime in early spring 2019.
Heads up, passengers! the Magic of Disney store near the Gates 1-59 security area is scheduled to close this evening. The space will be used for the upcoming West checkpoint expansion. Meantime, passengers can visit Disney’s Earport near the Hyatt atrium. pic.twitter.com/RXjWyVim17

As stated in the tweet above, Disney’s Earport (the other Disney store) is still open for business in the Hyatt atrium.
