Recently, Tim Allen revealed that it was really difficult for him to get through the final scene of Toy Story 4. Well, it appears as if it wasn’t just Buzz Lightyear who had trouble as Sheriff Woody aka Tom Hanks became very emotional while recording the ending of the movie.
We still don’t know the plot of Pixar’s upcoming film, but the cast members are having no problem teasing us with emotional distress.
Tom Hanks was on BBC’s The Chris Evans Breakfast Show and said that recording the ending of Toy Story 4 was difficult and very emotional for all involved.
“The way you record Toy Story, you’re in a room with the team that has created it. When I went in for my last day of recording, I wanted to have my back to them, because usually you’re facing them so you can look right up and you can talk about it. But I didn’t want to see them and I wanted to pretend they couldn’t see me,” the two-time Oscar winner explained. “When I realized what they were going for, I realized, ‘Oh, this is a moment in history.'”
Hanks went on to say that the first time they were recording the ending of Toy Story 4, and that was when he learned it would have an “impactful ending.”
Toy Story 4 will make you laugh and cry when it hit theaters on June 21, 2019.
