Possible Tropical Storm Humberto Could Affect Walt Disney World This Weekend

Many recently had to deal with the destruction and fear of Hurricane Dorian, but it is still the hurricane season. Right now, those in the Walt Disney World area are keeping a close eye on the Atlantic as possible Tropical Storm Humberto could head inland and affect things this weekend.

The National Weather Service and National Hurricane Center are currently tracking a system known as potential Tropical Cyclone Nine out in the ocean. As of this time, its exact path is still unknown, but it could bring some severe weather to the Central Florida area this weekend.

No-one knows for sure if this system will end up developing into Tropical Depression/Storm Humberto or where exactly it could go, but everyone needs to keep an eye on it.

Tropical storm force winds could be felt sometime mid/late Saturday and through Sunday in Central Florida if the current path stays in place.

Guests need to please:

  • Pay attention to all forecasts
  • Watch the National Weather Service and National Hurricane Center
  • Heed all warnings of Cast Members
  • Do not act as if this is “just another Florida storm” or “go out and play in the rain.” Even if this system does not turn into a hurricane, it could still bring heavy downpours, dangerous winds, and more.
