Disney Skyliner closed indefinitely

Some guests were stranded in their Skyliner gondolas for upwards of two hours on Saturday evening after the incident. A number of gondolas collided at Disney’s Riviera Resort which led to evacuations all along the route.

On Sunday morning, Cast Members were advising guests that the Skyliner was to be closed indefinitely while the incident is investigated and the system was inspected. Additional bus transportation was being provided for guests staying at the resorts on the line.

Disney security guards were also placed at the entrances and areas around the Skyliner stations to keep things in order.

As of this writing, it is still not totally known or confirmed as to when the Skyliner will begin running again. While it could be operating again on Monday, that simply remains to be seen as things are looked into.

There are still no reported injuries from the incident on Saturday night.
