Disney Recipe: Mickey Waffles

One of the most iconic foods in all of Disney is that of Mickey Waffles. They are available in many different locations, but unfortunately, we can’t always be in any of those spots. That’s why this Disney Recipe will be great for making your very own Mickey Waffles at home.

Mickey Waffles

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine (melted and room temperature)
  • 1-2 tbsp sugar (how much depends on how sweet you want them)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

1.) Beat the egg yolks and sugar together in a bowl until they are extra light, but  thick. You’ll have a nice sunny-yellow color.

2.) Add the milk, vanilla, and melted butter to the batter and mix together.

3.) Mix together your flour, baking, powder, and salt.

4.) Add the that mixture to the batter and mix well, but don’t overdo it. Mixing too much will cause your batter to froth up and it won’t work.

5.) In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff and then fold them into the batter with a spatula, but don’t mix them, just fold them in gently.

6.) Bake the batter in your waffle maker until golden brown.

After having your batter ready, you can make your waffles in any shape you wish with any type of waffle maker. To get the true feel of the Mickey Waffles though, you’ll need to purchase a special waffle iron.

Now, Disney hasn’t actually put the exact shape of waffle iron they use for the mini-Mickey Waffles, but some other options have been available as you can see here:
