Even though testing has been going on virtually all of January, there is still plenty left to be figured out in Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The Magic Kingdom park will still be beta-testing the game all this week as they were on Sunday, January 22, 2012. Rumors have the game beginning in full on February 8, 2012 but that has yet to be confirmed by Disney.
Up until now, only three of the four sections have been open for guests to try out in the new role-playing card game with Main Street not yet fully operational. As a crane though is in the way of the Fantasyland portals, things have now been changed up a bit. The portals past Cinderella Castle are not accessible so Main Street portals have been opened to accompany those in Liberty Square and Adventureland.
Times for beta-testing given from a Main Street cast member are as follows:
- Sundays from 10am – 2pm
- Tuesdays from 2pm – 7pm
- Thursdays from 2pm – 7pm
The game itself still has a few glitches, but that is in turn why the beta-testing continues so that everything can be perfect once all is said and done and it goes live for all guests. Cast members advise that there will be a number of differences between the early version and finished product, but the premise will remain the same.
If you want to play, arrive during the appropriate time and visit the Fire House on Main Street U.S.A. to begin.
