Fantasyland construction pics show huge pieces of equipment and Dumbo cars in the air

Construction behind the walls for the Fantasyland Expansion is going full force at the Magic Kingdom, and some new equipment is now very visible. A giant yellow piece of construction equipment is now towering and working where it is expected the Seven Dwarfs’ Mine Train will be going. That also is the area where the old 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea once sat.

The machine was seen being used as a crane to move a few things and also to dig up some portions of the ground. A few pics included in the gallery below also show the new Fantasyland Train Station as it gets completed and viewed from the Walt Disney World Railroad.

Over in the distance toward the old Toon Town area, the new Dumbo has been seen over the top of the walls for some time now. A couple weeks ago, the original attraction was broken down and moved piece-by-piece, but it has yet to surface. On Tuesday, January 31, 2012 – the new Dumbo was seen with all of its cars in an elevated position as work continued.
