The 30th anniversary of Epcot is almost upon us as October 1, 2012 is just around the corner. Epcot is – by far – the favorite WDW park of Doctor Disney, and that is evidenced by just how much of the retro merchandise I’ve already collected.
Making matters better is that the Disney Parks Blog is going to celebrate every Monday with some flashbacks to old school Epcot, and the first one is dedicated to – Kitchen Kabaret.
For those not familiar with the show, let me fill you in on what is honestly one of my most missed Disney attractions.
Kitchen Kabaret was housed in The Land Pavilion and located where Soarin’ now stands. It was a short show of animatronic foods singing and dancing to the tune of good nutrition.
Hosted by Bonnie Appetit, Kitchen Kabaret would let folks know just what was great for them to eat in order to live a healthy lifestyle. But it wouldn’t beat it into your head with boring facts and values. Kitchen Kabaret had some great comedy, wonderful songs, and memorable music.
Who can forget “Veggie Fruit Fruit…CHA CHA CHA!”
