On the 10th day until Christmas, Doctor Disney gave to you all…the 10 official Disney Princesses.
Yes, folks. Believe it or not, there are 10 official Disney Princesses in the giant host of characters that are out in the world. Even though there are so many names tossed around from the Disney Universe and “Princess” put in front of them; there are only 10 of them truly official. Well, that is until mid-2013, but more on that later.
So, without further ado…let me introduce the official 10 names in the Disney World that are allowed to have “Princess” spoken before them.
- Snow White
- Pocahontas
- Belle
- Cinderella
- Rapunzel
- Tiana
- Aurora
- Jasmine
- Ariel
- Mulan
A number of other names have often been thrown into the fray as Disney Princesses including:
- Alice
- Megara
- Tinker Bell
- Wendy
- Nala
- …and many, many more.
Trust me, I’ve heard all sorts of odd choices or thoughts on the Disney Princesses, but there are officially only 10. Well, that is until July of 2013. At that point, Pixar’s first Princess, Merida of “Brave” will officially be named as Disney’s 11th official Princess. She will join a class that includes some new and modern names, and those from the true classics.
