Details on new Main Street Bakery with Starbucks items in Walt Disney World

The redesigned Main Street Bakery at the Magic Kingdom is set to officially open on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, but there has been a soft opening going on lately, and it’s getting mixed results. Starbucks, as we all now know, has come into Disney and will be showing up in all four parks and then some.

Here are a few details of what to expect and the details of the new Starbucks-infused Main Street Bakery:

  • The full Starbucks menu is there – coffees, pastries, sandwiches, etc…
  • A cinnamon roll is on the menu, but is not yet available. Word is that the Bakery will not sell them at all anymore though, and they can only be purchased at Gaston’s Tavern.
  • Starbucks mannerisms are in play. Guests will order drinks in one location, their name will be written on their cups, and when ready…they will be called out.
  • Cast Members have been trained in Starbucks practices, and totally make up the staff. There are no Starbucks employees.
  • No more indoor seating at the Main Street Bakery.
  • As of now, it appears as if every drink item on the menu is a “Snack Credit” on the Disney Dining Plan.
  • Purchases do earn you “My Starbucks Rewards,” but you cannot earn them there.
  • Starbucks gift cards can not be purchased or reloaded, but CAN be used.
  • Word is also that certain items are only available until 11 a.m.
