Sad news today as a former Disney Channel star is dead.
Lee Thompson Young, known by many Disney fans as “The Famous Jett Jackson” has died after what authorities are saying was an apparent suicide.
Young was only 29-years-old.
He has been acting for the majority of his life including roles on “Smallville,” “CSI: NY,” and most recently, “Rizzoli & Isles” on TNT. He also starred in the 2004 film, “Friday Night Lights.”
It appears as if he had not shown up for work on the morning of Monday, Aug. 19, 2013. Those he works with had someone go over to his home in Los Angeles to check up on him.
The landlord opened the door and Young’s body was discovered with a gunshot wound. Authorities are saying that the gunshot wound appears to have been self-inflicted.
Doctor Disney sends out his thoughts and prayers to the family of Lee Thompson Young at this hard time. May he rest in peace.
