Disney World testing sending attraction photos directly to MyMagic+, MagicBands

Space Mountain Disney WorldWell, it looks as if Disney is trying to incorporate as much as humanly possible into the MyMagic+ and MagicBands. There is going to be some new testing going on that will send attraction photos directly to your MagicBands.

Yes, we all know that PhotoPass is going to be on your MagicBands, but this is a bit different.

A source tells me that there will be testing in the Magic Kingdom tonight after the park closes. Cast Members are going to be riding Space Mountain and/or Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin over and over again so that the test can be done.

You know the photos that are taken while you’re on the attractions? Well, it appears as if these tests are going to allow you to not worry about looking at the screens after you exit the ride, and look at them later at your convenience.

The testing is going to be to send the attraction pics directly to your MagicBands. What needs to be tested is making sure that your picture matches up with the seat or car you’re riding in so that the correct pic goes to your MagicBand.

Once the results of these tests come through, I’ll get that info to you as well.

  1. That would be fantastic. In August our longest lines were waiting to get the Photopass attraction photos added to our cards. It was awful.
