Naval Academy grad arrested after assaulting three Epcot Cast Members

Epcot Food and Wine FestA graduate of the Naval Academy, and former football player, was charged with attacking three Epcot Cast Members while intoxicated at the International Food & Wine Festival.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, 23-year-old Austin DeVan Hill has been charged with aggravated battery and two counts of battery after punching two male CMs and striking a female in the face with a plastic PVC pipe.

Hill entered a backstage area in Innoventions East and was approached by CM Michael Connelly. Hill punched Connelly which caused a large gash on his forehead and he was treated at Celebration Hospital.

After that, Hill came in contact with CM Timothy Beltley in backstage tunnels. Hill attempted to take a cargo work cart, Beltley tried to stop him, and Hill punched him in the face. Beltley was also treated at Celebration Hospital.

Jessica Brown was also struck in the left cheek by a three-foot-long piece of PVC pipe that Hll swung at her. She suffered some swelling but was treated on the scene.

Hill resisted the restraining efforts of Disney security, but they eventually held him to the ground in the Flavors of Club Cool area in Future World. He was bleeding from the wrists, knees, and hands when Florida deputies arrived on the scene.

Deputies called Hill’s actions as “fractious.”

Hill graduated from the Naval Academy in 2012.
