Well, it was first being tested at just Epcot and now it has moved to another park. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is in the testing phase for attraction “grouping” with Disney’s FASTPass+ system.
Some of the big-ticket attractions are going into one group while the other FP eligible attractions will be in another.
When choosing your selections, the site tells guests to choose one FASTPass+ selection for certain attractions and then two FASTPass+ selections from other attractions.
It is very possible this has been done because everyone was choosing mostly the same attractions and causing the FASTPasses to run out much quicker than expected.
The grouping is set up as followed:
Select one from:
- Toy Story Mania
- Beauty and the Beast Stage Show
- Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith
- Fantasmic!
Select two from:
- Indiana Jones
- Lights, Motors, Action!
- MuppetVision 3D
- Disney Jr Live on Stage
- Great Movie Ride
- Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror
- Star Tours II
This new system is not in operation at the Magic Kingdom or Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but testing will probably begin there in the near future.
I guess this is the point, but mostly the stuff in option 2 doesn’t require fast passing. The way this is configured, should KTTW and traditional fast pass be gone, requires that you line up for either Toy Story MM or Aerosmith. Why force us to stand in line for anything?
