Tomorrowland evacuated at Magic Kingdom: Reports of ‘suspicious package’ appear on Twitter

Tomorrowland evacuatedAround 10:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom was being evacuated, and it was said to have happened just after the “Wishes” fireworks show took place.

Different reports are coming in on multiple websites, a few sources of my own, and Twitter.

Here are some of the reports that have been made so far, but nothing is confirmed by Disney as  yet.

~ UPDATE as of 11:47 p.m. EST – All of Tomorrowland is open except for Space Mountain.

~ UPDATE as of 11:40 p.m. EST – Tomorrowland has reopened after reports of a “suspicious package” in the area, but all appears to be going normally and all is fine.

~ UPDATE at 11:35 p.m. EST states that Tomorrowland has been reopened

~ UPDATE as of 11:23 p.m. EST from WDWMagic is that a possible situation is ongoing at the Space Mountain arcade

~ Reports of a “suspicious package” found around Space Mountain

~ Tomorrowland Speedway has been evacuated of all guests and Cast Members, and the cars were simply left running.

~ Cast Members are advising guests that they are “Not allowed to say at this time” anything about what is going on.

~ Security and bomb sniffing dogs are said to be on the scene.

Trying to get as much info as I’m not currently on the scene, but do have viable sources giving info. Please know that nothing is confirmed at this time except that something is going on at the Magic Kingdom and Tomorrowland has been evacuated.
