The remaining dates have been put in place for all Walt Disney World Resort hotels to move strictly to MagicBands usage. At this time, all of the resorts are expected to be MagicBand-only by the end of Jan., 2014.
While Pop Century and the All-Star Resorts have already moved forward in this part of the MyMagic+ testing phase; it was only a matter of time until the other resorts followed suit.
Here are the dates (subject to change) for when remaining Disney resorts will go MagicBand-only:
- Jan. 6, 2014 – Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Jan. 7, 2014 – Disney’s Port Orleans Resort
- Jan. 8, 2014 – Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
- Jan. 9, 2014 – Disney’s Old Key West Resort and Disney’s Saratoga Spring Resort & Spa
- Jan. 10, 2014 – Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Jan. 13, 2014 – Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts
- Jan. 14, 2014 – Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Jan. 15, 2014 – Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
- Jan. 16, 2014 – Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Jan. 17, 2014 – Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Polynesian Resort
- Jan. 20, 2014 – Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
Key to the World Cards (KTTW) can still be requested, but will not be automatically given at time of check-in anymore. The KTTW cards can also not be used for the LEGACY FASTPass (original paper tickets) anymore either.
By the end of Jan., 2014, all guests staying at Walt Disney World Resorts will be required to use the FASPass+ system.
