Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom already have it in place, and now it’s going to be coming for the other two parks as well. Beginning next week, Legacy FASTPass will be a thing of the past as both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot will have FASTPass+ accessible to all guests.
On Jan. 21, 2014, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will transfer over to FASTPass+ for all guests, resort and non-resort.
On Jan. 24, 2014, Epcot will do the same. That means all four parks will have FASTPass+ in place and Legacy FASTPass (paper ticket) machines will be gone.
Walt Disney World Resort guests will see no change in how they have been doing things for months now.
Now, that means a few things and here is what you need to know:
- Non-resort guests will be able to make same-day FASTPass+ reservations by using in-park kiosks
- Non-resort guests will not receive MagicBands, but will use their RFID-chipped park ticket cards
- Non-resort guests will not be able to make changes using MyDisney Experience, just the kiosks
- Epcot and DHS will still work on a tiered system for their FP+ options
