There have been a large number of problems over the past couple of years with numerous cruise ships and different companies, but the Disney Cruise Line is sailing to the front of the line.
DCL ships have won a large number of awards in the past, but this most recent round of recognition is unlike any they’ve had before.
On Feb. 26, 2014, the Cruise Critic Cruisers’ Choice awards were announced, and DCL cleaned up. Overall, the Disney Cruise Line ships won 29 awards including 12 number one awards.
The Disney Fantasy really cleaned up as they took top spots for large ships in:
- Best Overall
- Best for Cabins
- Best for Dining
- Best for Entertainment
- Best for Public Rooms
- Best for Service
- Best For Families
For mid-size ships, the Disney Wonder took the top spots for:
- Best Overall
- Best for Entertainment
- Best for Service
The Disney Magic and Disney Dream placed high in a whole host of categories as well.
All four Disney ships also ranked among the top cruise ships in the world on the Conde Nast Travel 2014 Readers’ Choice list as they took four of the top five spots in the Best Large Cruise Ships category.
The re-imagined Disney Magic received the Porthole Cruise Magazine’s 2014 Editor-In-Chief Award for Best Makeover.
There is just no mistaking that the Disney Cruise Line fleet of ships is one of the bets in the world and those ships provide you with the best of everything. That’s obvious from the fact that they’ve been my first and last 15 cruises in the last year and a half…including my wedding and honeymoon.
