10 Baffling Things Kids Do at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World bafflingThey say Walt Disney World is for kids (and kids at heart), but sometimes, little ones do things that just leave us thinking “Huh? Why on Earth would you do that?”

Not convinced? Well, there are plenty of examples that can be found daily by simply walking through any of the locations in Walt Disney World. You may not have kids, but that doesn’t mean you haven’t seen them before.

See if any of these sound familiar. (And yes, these have all happened. In real life.)

1. Happily runs toward 6-foot tall duck wearing a hat. Runs away screaming from a real duck wandering down Main Street.
2. Talks about riding Space Mountain and how cool it will be for months. Refuses to ride, and then falls in love with the Enchanted Tiki Room.
3. Actually licks the railing while waiting in line for Dumbo. Why? Why would you do that?
4. Waits in line for half the day to meet favorite character. Wants to leave the line with just three people in front of you to go potty.
5. Waits until you are actually on Splash Mountain to request potty break.
6. Is a bundle of energy all day – but falls asleep (and stays asleep) five minutes before “Wishes.”
7. Ignores the large, beautiful resort pool in favor of a rain puddle.
8. When asked about her favorite thing from the trip, says “Jumping on the bed in the hotel.”
9. Memorizes every single line of dialogue from “Frozen.” Forgets own name when meeting Elsa and Anna.
10. Cries, argues and throws temper tantrums all week. Gets home and announces that it was the “best trip ever!”

Perhaps you’ve done some of these on your own, but more than likely, you’re going to see kids doing them at any time.

So how about you? What have your kids done while on vacation in the “World” that was baffling, mystifying or just plain weird?

Comments

  1. Too funny! My son, now 7, has personally done half of these.

  2. LOL! #6 is my daughter! How can you sleep through Wishes?! It doesn’t make sense to me! LOL

  3. LOL…. there are probably 1,000 other things you could add to this list. Kids are crazy! 🙂
