Today is the day that MagicBands are first available to all guests coming to Walt Disney World. Already there for Disney Resort and Annual Passholders, non-resort (Daily Guests) guests can purchase them as of March 31, 2014, and use them like everyone else. This will tell you all the things you need to know about MagicBands including where to purchase them.
Daily Guests do not have to purchase MagicBands as they are not required to use My Disney Experience and FASTPass+. They are made available in the seven colors of red, blue, pink, green, grey, orange, and yellow. Annual Passholders and DVC members do get a 10% discount on them, and they can be used on future trips as well as the current one.
Those wishing to purchase a MagicBand for the cost of $12.95 plus tax can do so at these locations:
Magic Kingdom
- Emporium on Main Street U.S.A.
- Frontierland Trading Post
- Space Mountain Gift Shop
- Mickey’s Gift Station at the TTC
- Big Top Souvenirs
Epcot
- Disney Traders in World Showcase
- Camera Center under Spaceship Earth
- World Traveler at the International Gateway
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Legends of Hollywood
- Stage One
- The Darkroom
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures
- Disney Outfitters
- Creature Comforts
Downtown Disney
- Disney’s Pin Traders in the Marketplace

Upon purchasing your MagicBands, Cast Members will automatically link your RFID park tickets to them and also your My Disney Experience account, if one is available. You do not need one as FASTPass+ CMs and kiosks will still be available in the parks for you to set everything up.
What this means though is that those wishing to purchase and use MagicBands must be present at time of purchase. You can purchase as many MagicBands as you wish and link them all to your My Disney Experience account, but only one can be made active at a time.
