Info On Anna and Elsa In Princess Fairytale Hall: Times, Waits, Tips, FASTPass

Anna and Elsa Princess Fairytale HallAnna and Elsa from Disney’s “Frozen” made their official debut in Princess Fairytale Hall in the Magic Kingdom on Sunday, April 20, 2014. They were very popular, as expected, but there are a number of things to know when going to visit the girls in their new home.

After a morning of enjoying their debut and meeting with them in their new home, here are some things to remember and know.

1.) There is no easy way to get a FASTPass+ for Anna and Elsa. You must simply “keep trying” and work at getting one if you can. Use your time windows as best you: 60-days for Resort guests, 30-days for Annual Passholders and Daily Guests.

2.) The standby lines for Anna and Elsa are going to be just about as bad/long as when they were at Epcot. Within 17 minutes of park open on Sunday, the wait time had jumped to 180 minutes already. By mid-day, it was up to 230 minutes.

Upon park opening – before CMs got the additional rope queues set up – the line for Anna and Elsa actually stretched back through Cinderella Castle.

3.) Anna and Elsa are scheduled everyday until 5:00 p.m. (give or take a few minutes). That is when the line for them will be cut off. If you are in line before the cut off, you WILL see them. It’s not going to be where guests get in line at 4:00 p.m., have a 90-minute wait, and then miss out on Anna and Elsa.

If you’re in line by 5:00 p.m., you will see them and the visiting princess (varies).

After the last guest scheduled to see Anna and Elsa do see them; another Disney Princess will take over that spot.

Let it be known that the other side of Princess Fairytale Hall – with Cinderella and Rapunzel – was a walk-in during the morning hours and only 20 minute standby by mid-day.

4.) Unlike at Epcot when guests would get ADRs for Akershus, but then simply go wait in line for Anna and Elsa…you won’t be able to do that at the Magic Kingdom.

Even if you have early morning reservations for Crystal Palace or Cinderella’s Royal Table, guests will not be allowed into Fantasyland. They will not be allowed to go and get in line for Princess Fairytale Hall prior to park opening or Extra Magic Hours.

5.) Guests are not allowed to split up their party so that one or two people wait in line and others join in later. Cast Members are currently enforcing that parties wanting to see Anna and Elsa must have everyone together throughout the line.

6.) The best tip for seeing Anna and Elsa, if you don’t have FASTPass, is to arrive at the Magic Kingdom before rope drop, wait for the official park opening, and head straight to Princess Fairytale Hall. This will be your best bet…enough said.

Lastly, some people were said to have a number of issues with their FASTPass+ reservations for Anna and Elsa. It has been reported that the issues include their reservations completely disappearing from their My Disney Experience.

From what has been revealed, this is a glitch in the system and Disney is working to fix it. They are fully aware of the problem and remember, this is a new system that is technically still in testing mode. Things are being fixed and problems need to be found so that they don’t continue to happen.

It’s the way things are and issues are going to come about. Please, if you have an issue or problem in this area, do not freak out. Go up to Guest Services and advise them of the situation, but please stay calm.

Remember, this is a new system and format and everything for guests, Cast Members, and everyone. Thank you.

  1. What’s interesting is that Disney seems to have released more FP’s today for the meet and greet. I’ve been checking multiple times a day for weeks, for a 9 day period in May. I’d scored just two single tickets, on two different days (which didn’t do much for me, since I need to bring the kids). Today, I found loads of FP available across a range of dates, and was finally able to book FP’s for our entire party–same day, same time!

Just got a fastpass for one person in my group…a 4 year old! Will they let anyone else in the group in (me or my other daughter)
