Videos and Notes From Commercial Shoot for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Seven Dwarfs Mine TrainThere has been a lot going on with the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train lately, and that includes even more walls coming down on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, and the filming of the commercial that will soon begin airing. With that filming, many rumors are starting to swirl again about when it could open, but there was a lot learned from the first day that non-Imagineers were riding the attraction.

At the bottom of this article are some videos showing different portions of the attraction as the test runs were being done during the commercial shoot. First though are some notes and observations from checking it out.

~ It appears as if the ride will last a little under or right at two minutes in length. There is the first exterior portion of the attraction which lasts about 30 seconds before guests head inside the mine. The interior portion last a little under a minute before guests are back out for a second exterior portion which lasts around 30 seconds once again.

~ The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has had a number of comparisons to Big Thunder Mountain, but there are noticeable differences. BTM is much more elevated and the hills are rather steep as opposed to 7DMT which is more spread out with the focus being on the curves and turns.

~ The uphill-chain for the attraction is of the silent type, and there was nothing to be heard as the mine train carts went up the incline.

~ A couple different songs could loudly be heard as the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was running, and they included “Heigh-Ho” and the “The Dwarfs Yodel Song” which they sing during their party with Snow White in the cottage.

On Tuesday, a number of different things were being said about opening dates for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and they included Memorial Day, May 15th, the middle of June, the 24-hour event, and others. Nothing is confirmed, but it’s coming close.
