Full Review of New Phone Charging Lockers In Magic Kingdom

After checking them out, here is a full review of how they operate and how well they will work for guests.

First of all, they are rather small so blink and you may miss them. These don’t look like actual “lockers” so to speak, but a small location with some lit-up slots.

The Space Mountain Arcade/Gift Shop has the phone-charging lockers with six available slots and there are 12 slots in Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. Yes, that seems limited, but this is still a testing phase and it is almost certain that there will be more of these in other places soon.

Remember that even though you use a credit card, it is simply for identification purposes and will not be charged.

It is quite simple to use the phone charging lockers.

1. Check for an empty slot which is shown by a blue light.
2. Swipe your credit card through the reader.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to let the phone charging lockers know what kind of device you will be charging so it has the appropriate charger.
4. From your selection, a locker door opens and the light changes to green.
5. Plug in your device and close the door which locks it and turns the light to red.
6. Upon your device being fully charged, the light will turn to green again.
7. Swipe your credit card again, the door opens, and you can remove your device.

These phone charging lockers are very convenient and extremely handy to have around. There is a very good chance that there will be more of these soon because they are very popular and being put to good use.
