The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train over in the Magic Kingdom has seen a lot of things happening lately, and that includes a great bit of speculation. Now, there still is no set opening date from Disney, but the media event will be happening later this week and it is going to cause some opening delays and closings for certain attractions and areas in the Magic Kingdom.
The media event for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is scheduled to happen over at the Magic Kingdom on May 1 and May 2, 2014.
For this to happen, there will need to be some privacy had and that means guests not being allowed access to the surrounding Magic Kingdom areas.
Well, some attractions and areas are going to close early on Thursday, May 1, 2014, and some areas will be opening late on Friday, May 2, 2014. For those that will be at the Magic Kingdom on those days, here is a schedule for you so you know what to anticipate.
Thursday, May 1, 2014 – Closing at 5:00 p.m. to guests:
- Storybook Treats
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Hundred Acre Goods
- Under the Sea – Journey of The Little Mermaid
- Ariel’s Grotto
- Bonjour! Village Gifts
- Gaston’s Tavern
With this particular area being closed off, guests looking to go from Tomorrowland to the other side of Fantasyland will be detoured along the side of Cinderella Castle.
Friday, May 2, 2014:
Opening at 11:00 a.m.
- Big Top Souvenirs
- Pete’s Silly Sideshow
- The Barnstormer
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- Tomorrowland International Speedway
Opening at 1:00 p.m.
- Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor
Times and situations are subject to change at any notice, but this is the current schedule as of now for those Magic Kingdom days.
This also still doesn’t give us any closer idea to knowing when the attraction will actually open.
