The FASTPass+ experience group tiers at both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are about to undergo some changes. They aren’t major or anything, but you must take note of them for your future trip because they could alter the FASTPass+ selections you make.
As of right now, any FASTPass+ selections you make for June 16, 2014, and beyond will includes these changes.
Epcot
- Epcot Character Spot moves into Group 2
- Maelstron moves into Group 2
- Living with the Land moves into Group 1
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- The Great Movie Ride moves into Group 1
Any FASTPass+ selections already made will be valid and honored unless you cancel or try to change them.
For example, Doctor Disney himself witnessed an issue earlier today (June 10, 2014) where a guest wished to change an Epcot Character Spot reservation for The Seas with Nemo and Friends. It couldn’t be done because once the Character Spot FASTPass+ was cancelled, it went from a group 1 selection to group 2. That guest already had two group 2 selections so now needed to make a group 1 selection which meant a Nemo FASTPass+ was not possible.
Understand?
Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom do not yet have the experience group tiers in place for the FASTPass+ system. Considering Disney is fiddling around with Epcot and DHS though, it seems likely that all parks will have it in the future.
Hes is a full list of all FASTPass+ available attractions and their tiers at Walt Disney World parks.
