Today was the first day of Frozen Summer Live at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and let me just say…it was incredibly impressive.
Didn’t take part in the VIP Frozen Package for today, but planning on doing that at some point later on. Upon walking into DHS, you’re going to see Frozen decorations and merchandise all over the place. The stage is decorated. The light poles are decorated. There is so much to see and just look at.
At the bottom of this page, you’re going to find pictures from the Frozen parade, the ice skating rink, the merchandise location (Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post), the park itself, the “First Time In Forever” Sing-Along, and much more. Here is some info that came from the numerous questions being asked of me on the Doctor Disney Facebook Page.
~ The skating rink, “Do You Wanna Build A SnowMan” play area, Frozen store, and snacks are located at Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post & Frozen Funland – Head down Pixar Place to Soundstage One and you will find ALL of this. It is in the soundstage between Toy Story Mania and the Backlot Studio Tour.
Ice skating is $10 for 30 minutes of ice time with skates and protective gear provided.
~ As of now, the Frozen Summer of Fun is only going to be at DHS from July 5, 2014 through Sept. 1, 2015. There has been no talk of extended it or making it permanent. Remember, anything is subject to change…but for now, this is limited time only.
~ There are multiple showings of the “First Time In Forever” Sing-Along each day. You must go over to the Premiere Theatre near the exit of MuppetVision 3D by New York Street to get a voucher for the show. It will give you a time to return for entry into the theatre. Vouchers are given on a first-come /first-served basis unless you purchased the Frozen VIP Premium Package which includes guaranteed seating for it.
~ Frozen MagicBands are available at Wandering Oaken’s in Olaf, Anna, and Elsa designs. Legends of Hollywood is also selling the Anna and Elsa designs.
~ At 11:00 a.m. each day, Elsa and Anna arrive in Hollywood as part of their goodwill tour of neighboring kingdoms, making their way down Hollywood Boulevard in a horse-drawn sleigh. Kristoff is along for the fun, too, joined by a flurry of skaters, skiers, ice cutters and more! The entire procession culminates in a special moment at the Sorcerer’s Hat Icon Stage to officially welcome the visiting royalty to this kingdom of Hollywoodland.
~ Starting at 5:30 p.m. each day, a dance party takes over the area around the Sorcerer’s Hat Icon Stage, with a DJ, live band, and more! The band plays a variety of classic and contemporary summer rock & roll hits, as well as a cool, rocking medley of “Frozen” favorites. It’s going to be hot!
~ Everything wraps up at 9:45 p.m. when Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf come together at the Sorcerer’s Hat Icon Stage for a grand finale to the day’s festivities, kicking off an awe-inspiring fireworks display set to the glorious music of “Frozen!” – Video set to come tonight (July 5) or tomorrow (July 6).
My advice? Go see it and experience the enjoyment of a Frozen Summer of Fun before it’s gone.

So if the VIP packages are selling out, do you know if that means there won’t be any seats for the sing along left? Or is it just a certain section of the theatre for VIP?
