For those anxiously awaiting the opening of the Haunted Mansion gift shop this fall…you’re going to have to wait a bit longer. It appears as if the refurbishment work being done to The Yankee Trader is a lot more extensive than originally believed.
Originally scheduled to reopen at the end of September, it looks like Disney will now keep the refurbishment going through Dec. 31, 2014.
As of now, the date for the opening of the Haunted Mansion gift shop will be Jan. 1, 2015. What a way to ring in the new year eh?
This really lends thought that the rumors of on-board photos for Haunted Mansion are indeed coming. It’s expected that the gift shop will be where you can pick them up.
Please remember that all dates are subject to change, and that’s evident by the three-month extension being put on the work of the gift shop.
Don’t worry though, there will be plenty of new Haunted Mansion merchandise to go around, and the gift shop will be your incredibly awesome headquarters for it all.
You should include Downtown Disney / Disney Springs on your refurbishment list. It is a MESS down there right now.
Can you still get Haunted Mansion merchandise at Disney?
Yes, you can. The majority of it is available in the Christmas Shop in Liberty Square until this shop opens.
