Villains Unleashed – Full Report and Pictures From Event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
On the evening of Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, the Disney Villains took over Disney’s Hollywood Studios in an event simply known as Villains Unleashed. While there have been a lot of complaints and a good bit of criticism about the event already, here is my full report on my attendance there along with a lot of pictures.
Halloween Decorations Start To Appear At the Magic Kingdom
A little over two weeks ago, the Halloween merchandise arrived at the Magic Kingdom and throughout Walt Disney World. With just a week left until the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the Halloween decorations are now showing up at the Magic Kingdom, and it looks as if we could have a completely decorated Main Street U.S.A. very soon.
Disney Cracking Down On Vendors Selling Unlicensed Merchandise
The Walt Disney Company has really started cracking down on all unlicensed vendors selling unlicensed Disney merchandise. They have started searching through numerous online sites and sending out “Cease and Desist” letters and shutting down these stores.
More Villains Coming To Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Disney announced on Aug. 22, 2014, that the Disney Villains would have a much greater presence at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party too!
Refurbishment for Mickey’s PhilharMagic Extended By a Week
Another refurbishment in Walt Disney World for the month of September has been extended. Mickey’s PhilharMagic was originally scheduled to be closed for just under two weeks, but now it will be closed for around a total of three.
Disney Monorail Operating Schedule Revised For September
For those visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in September, be prepared with the knowledge of how your transportation is going to work. The Disney Monorail will have a different operating schedule starting on Sept. 1, 2014, and lasting throughout most of the month.
Disney’s Festival of the Masters Cancelled for 2014

‘Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It!’ Debuting This Fall at Magic Kingdom
A few weeks ago, it was revealed here at Doctor Disney that changes would be coming to the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Parade at the Magic Kingdom. Now, it is known that this fall, guests will have a chance to be even more interactive with the brand new “Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It!” Street Party.
Six New Retro Epcot Shirts Hit the Racks At Mouse Gear
In something that certainly excites me, there is some brand new retro Epcot merchandise that has appeared on racks at Mouse Gear. Making matters even better is that they are all retro Epcot shirts which come in short-sleeve tee-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, and even a sweatshirt.

MagicBands Can Now Be Purchased Without Linking To a Disney Ticket
Beginning, Aug. 19, 2014, guests will now be able to purchase MagicBands without having to automatically link them to a Walt Disney World ticket. This means that guests will now be able to purchase MagicBands as gifts or as many for themselves as they wish.
Elsa & Anna’s Boutique Coming to Disneyland Resort This Fall
There is more “Frozen” stuff coming your way, but it looks as if it is only going to be going the way of those out in California. It was revealed that Elsa & Anna’s Boutique will be coming to the Downtown Disney District, and it’s coming very soon.

The American Film Institute Showcase at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has seen its time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios come to an end. The awesome movie-history showcase officially closed as of Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, and Doctor Disney headed over there to get pictures of its final displays.
