It was another busy week filled with Disney news, and there was some that was pretty good and some not-so-good. The biggest news of the week is the retirement of numerous live entertainment groups at Epcot, most notably…Off Kilter. Yes, the popular band playing in the Canada pavilion is being retired along with Mo’Rockin and a few others.
Should you get the chance, head out to Epcot sometime in the next month as Off Kilter and others will be gone near the end of the month.

Limited Edition MagicBand Coming For Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
We’ve had Star Wars, Frozen, and Haunted Mansion-themed MagicBands, and now there is going to be another one very soon. There will indeed be a limited edition MagicBand coming to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and they’ll only be available to those attending the special events at the Magic Kingdom.
Off Kilter and Other Live Entertainment Groups Being Retired From Epcot Next Month
Sad news this morning for many fans of live entertainment at Epcot as reports going around of many of the live entertainment groups being retired is true. While Disney has not yet officially announced it, groups such as Off Kilter and Mo’Rockin will be retired come the end of September 2014
New Starbucks Location Opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios In Early 2015
Back in late May, Doctor Disney reported that the new Starbucks location for Disney’s Hollywood Studios would be put in at the old L.A. Prop Cinema Storage Shop. Well, that has proven to be true. It was officially announced on the morning of Friday, Aug. 28, 2014, that Starbucks would be centrally located and coming in the early part of 2015.
Another Parking Entrance at Downtown Disney Closing This Week
With all of the construction going on at Downtown Disney as it is transformed into Disney Springs, there are a lot of detours with roads, parking, and even pedestrian traffic. Now, another entrance is about to close for a while and make things a bit more jumbled.
Premium Package Added To Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party – A Villain’s Sinister Soiree
As if Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party needed even more reason to get you to the Magic Kingdom, but Disney is giving it. With other premium packages being added to events this year, the trend will continue with the fall parties.
Maleficent, Evil Queen Meet-and-Greet Seemingly Removed from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
A week ago, Disney revealed that a there would be a much larger presence of Disney Villains at this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and it included some meet-and-greets, dance parties, and more. With the first party just three days away, it appears as if there is a already a retraction of the Maleficent and Evil Queen appearances at Princess Fairytale Hall.
Haunted Mansion ‘Mayhem at the Mansion’ App Game Coming To the Magic Kingdom
As if there isn’t enough new stuff coming to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom this year with the Club Villain, Pirates Card, and Villains Soiree, but now there will be more. Word is that an augmented reality app game called “Mayhem at the Mansion” will let you catch ghosts and return them to the place of 999 happy haunts.
Rumors Have Frozen Sing-Along Continuing At Disney’s Hollywood Studios Past September
It was recently revealed that the “Frozen” Summer Fun Live at Disney’s Hollywood Studios would be extended through September, with some minor alterations. Now, there are rumors going around that it could last a bit longer…well, at least the “Frozen” Sing-Along may be.
More Halloween Decorations Up At the Magic Kingdom – The Pumpkins Have Arrived

New Seating / Charging Area In Storybook Circus at the Magic Kingdom
There are some great places to catch some shade at the Magic Kingdom, but there’s a new spot that actually is one of the best in all of Walt Disney World. Remember the FASTPass location that was in Storybook Circus?
