We all know about the premium package (Villains Soiree) that was added to this year’s Mickey’s Not-S0-Scary Halloween Party, and it wasn’t expected to end there. Rumors are now flying about that something similar will be coming to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and you will actually get the chance to meet Olaf.
Please be aware that the following nothing but rumors at this time. Disney has not officially announced or confirmed at all. It could happen, but as of now….just rumors.
I’ve gotten word from a few sources that a premium package could be added to MVMCP much like it was for the Halloween parties. Ideas have apparently been presented for a Frozen-type meet-and-greet/dessert party gathering which will be similar to that of the Villains Soiree.
This premium package would include preferred viewing for the Christmas parade, the fireworks, and then a dessert party in Cinderella’s Royal Table. That dessert party would be your chance to meet-and-greet with characters from Disney’s “Frozen,” including Olaf.
My sources tell me that if this actually happens, it would be a cost of $99 in addition to your Christmas Party ticket. Kenny the Pirate had a good look at how the dessert party could possibly go.
Olaf would meet guests in the lobby before heading up into the dining room area of Cinderella’s Royal Table. There, t would be decorated in ice and “Frozen” decor with Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff mingling with guests. There would be unique desserts and take-home souvenirs and Elsa would even lead everyone in a sing-along of “Let It Go.”
Kenny made the point that Olaf wouldn’t be able to get around very well to mingle so standing stationary in the lobby for his meet-and-greet would be ideal.
Now, there’s no telling if this will happen, but talk of a premium package for the Christmas Party had already been rumored after the Villains Soiree debuted. Combine that with Anna and Elsa lighting the castle every night in the Dream Lights for Christmas and this “Frozen” party make sense.
We can only wait for now, but if this is to happen, expect an announcement sometime in October.
I mean…who wouldn’t want to actually meet Olaf?
Part of me says great. Make money to reinvest into the park and keep general admission costs under control. Part of me wishes they’d just do the meet and greets for everyone and had more modestly priced dessert parties.
The review I read for the Villains dessert party suggested it was rushed and overpriced. It also takes away from general park/party time.
Again though, for people who want it, more power to them.
Looks like the rumor may be getting ready to become reality!
I was on the WDW site today confirming plans/reservations for our trip in November – On the dates for MVMCP, the Cinderella’s Royal Table page now lists a “Special Ticketed Event” from 6:40 PM – 8:00 PM (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/magic-kingdom/cinderella-royal-table/)
No specific title is given for the ticketed event, but my guess is that your report of the Frozen Meet & Greet may be correct!
Also I noticed that the hours for Anna & Elsa at Fairytale Hall end at 6:30 on the nights of MVMCP. I wonder if Disney is waiting to release details about this because they want people to buy tickets to the Frozen celebration at Hollywood Studios.
Has anyone heard anything new about this? I have even called Disney World directly and not gotten any answers yet. Thanks!
There are no answers yet because nothing has been announced.
