We’ve all been waiting for it and now the first teaser trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is online, and it’s just as good as we were all hoping for. Sure, there isn’t a whole lot revealed in it and none of the “big names” are shown, but there is a lot that fans are exposed to, and it’s all awesome.
Get your first (and repeated) view(s) of it below as the premiere of the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer is finally here.
So, here are some of the things we learn from this trailer scene-by-scene:
~ Our first real scene, after seconds lingering on the desert (we’re presuming Tatooine). John Boyega, clad in a Stormtrooper outfit, looking very panicked. It’s not clear if he’s an actual recruit or in disguise.
~ There’s a cool new rolling droid.
~ Storm Troopers have a bit of a modernized look, but still resemble their old selves as well.
~ Our first look at Daisy Ridley, driving off into sands unknown.
~ Oscar Isaac at the helm of an X-Wing, call-sign unknown.
~ “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has a fleet of X-Wings just as past films have had.
~ There is now a medieval-looking lightsaber that is pretty awesome!
~ As rumored and seen in some pics, the Millenium Falcon is back.
~ Tie-Fighters are back too!
~ As The Verge pointed out, remember the dish knocked off of the Millenium Falcon in “Return of the Jedi?” Well, it’s still missing in this trailer and that’s some fantastic continuity.
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is set to hit theaters on Dec., 2015, and you can be sure there will be more trailers to come before that time. For now, enjoy this one over-and-over again.
