For those that wish to see the back side of water or the ever-dangerous hippos, you may have to wait if you’re traveling to Walt Disney World in late Spring. The Jungle Cruise will officially be closing for almost a month-long refurbishment.
Jungle Cruise will close for refurbishment on April 13, 2015. It is set to be closed through May 8, 2015.
That means it is tentatively scheduled to reopen to Guests on May 9, 2015.
There has been no word as to what will be done to the Jungle Cruise during its refurbishment, but water rides often need a lot of tuning up. It is expected that some paint jobs, cleaning the waterway, and other such things will be performed.
Please note that dates are subject to change and can without any notice. These dates are officially listed on Walt Disney World’s refurbishment schedule, but that does not mean they can’t possibly change.
