Remember the rumors posted a short time back about Aloha Isle possibly closing up? Well, that may not seem as far-fetched now, but not entirely in full. According to reports, Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace will switch up Adventureland locations beginning next week.
WDWMagic has reported that late next week sometime, the menus will be switching spots in Adventureland.
There aren’t exact details on what will be happening in full, but the main thing is that the menus of Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace will be switching locations. Now, your Dole Whip will be available near the Enchanted Tiki Room and the Citrus Swirl near the Adventureland Bridge.
Or…the menus could be kind of combined and just the names changed.
It isn’t exactly known if they’ll be taken the names of the snack locations with them yet or not.
This move is possibly due to the Adventureland Veranda Restaurant coming and the big refurbishment happening at Liberty Tree Tavern on the opposite side in Liberty Square.
It makes a lot of sense as the line for Aloha Isle currently can stretch back into the area near the Adventureland Veranda. Should construction be going on there, Guests won’t have a place to stand as it gets very long numerous times during the day.
Also, the Sunshine Tree Terrace location has a lot more space.
It’s not known how long this switch will go on for Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace or if one location is being phased out to eventually combine the two. Only time will tell.
Now, this has not been officially announced by Disney as of now, but I’ve checked with some sources of mine after seeing the reports…and it appears as if it will indeed be happening. Remember though, until Disney says it…nothing is happening.
