Had heard rumors of it, but it appears that it will be happening. Well, it will at least be tested. Direct bus service from Magic Kingdom to Mickey’s Backyard BBQ and Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground begins testing next week.
Doctor Disney had heard a few things, and WDWMagic appears have found it out as well. The testing
The testing will be a bus route that goes from Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort Campground, but straight to the Settlement Depot. Usually, that location is only accessible via the Fort Wilderness internal bus system.
The bus going directly to Wilderness Lodge is great because usually, it shares a bus stop with Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
The test is set to begin on April 20, 2015, and it’s going to operate only between the hours of 4 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. It will run for four weeks and if it ends up being successful and helpful, it could end up becoming permanent.
For Guests that go to Mickey’s Backyard BBQ and/or Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, this will help considerably and could end up saving them valuable time.
